TDI

TDI Nitrox Diver Course is an entry level course for divers wishing to continue their diver education and utilize enriched air nitrox as a breathing gas to extend no decompression limits at depth.

You will learn the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22 through 40 percent oxygen content, equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, analyzing nitrox mixtures, and gas blending procedures.

Course Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent
  • Minimum certification of open water diver or current enrollment in an open water diver course

Are you looking to expand your dive time? Maybe you’re a scientific diver or photographer looking to stay in the water a little longer? The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. TDI Advanced Nitrox is also a must for SCR or CCR divers.

Course Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent
  • Minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent
  • Proof of 25 logged open water dives

The TDI Intro to Tech Course is an introductory course that expands on recreational training by improving dive planning methods, in-water skills, and streamlining existing gear configurations in a controlled and fun learning environment.

You will learn in-depth dive planning, advanced buoyancy control, gas management, situational awareness, proper trim, gear configuration and selection.

Course Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent
  • Minimum certification: SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent
  • Proof of 25 logged open water dives

The new SDI/TDI Sidemount Diver program is far more than just another “how to” book on sidemount diving. It’s a complete, comprehensive set of training materials designed to work together to make learning and teaching sidemount diving easy.

Rather than take a dogmatic “my way or the highway” approach to Sidemount Diver training, the SDI/TDI program covers the broad range of equipment, procedures and techniques used by experienced sidemount divers around the world.

Course Preresquisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Minimum certification of SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent

Upcoming courses

The TDI Advanced Wreck Diver Course is the next step for any diver that has successfully completed the SDI Wreck Diver Course. During this course, your TDI Instructor will teach you the proper techniques for locating and planning an advanced penetration dive. The advanced wreck course is commonly taught with other popular TDI courses such as Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, Extended Range, Closed Circuit Rebreather, and Trimix.

Course Preresquisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Minimum certification of SDI Advanced Adventure Diver or equivalent
  • Certified SDI Wreck Diver or TDI Cavern Diver or equivalent
  • Proof of 50 logged dives

Are you finding your no- decompression limits (NDLs) a limiting factor to dives? Do you have to ascend sooner than you would like? As sport divers, planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 metres/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.

Course Preresquisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Minimum certification of SDI Advanced Adventure Diver, Advanced Diver, or equivalent
  • Proof of 25 logged open water dives

Upcoming courses

Certain areas of the world provide spectacular dives at depths deeper than 39 metres/130 feet but you may not have access (or very limited access) to helium. The TDI Extended Range course teaches you the proper techniques for utilizing compressed air as a breathing gas, and with a maximum depth of 55 metres/180 feet, so you don’t have to miss those dives! The TDI Extended Range Diver Course provides the training and experience necessary including proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving, to competently utilize air for dives up to 55 metres/180 feet that require staged decompression, using nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression.

Course Preresquisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and TDI Decompression Procedures Diver, or equivalent
  • Proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which 25 must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet

Have you ever wondered how your nitrox cylinders are filled? Do you like the “behind the scenes” look at what makes a dive happen? Take the TDI Nitrox Gas Blender Course to find out how your cylinders get filled with nitrox! The TDI Nitrox Gas Blender Course will take you through the blending of nitrox in an easy-to-understand format. This course provides the training required to competently blend nitrox gas. The objective of this course is to train candidates in the proper techniques, equipment requirements and hazards involved in blending nitrox gases for recreational scuba diving activities.

Course Preresquisites

  • Minimum age 18

Upcoming courses

Are you ready to progress on as a Gas Blender? The TDI Advanced Gas Blender Course picks up where you left off in the previous sequence in training, the TDI Nitrox Gas Blender course. After successful completion of the TDI Advanced Gas Blender course, you will be able to engage in the blending of oxygen and helium based gases. The objective of this course is to train candidates in the proper procedures needed for the preparation and blending of high quality nitrox and trimix gases for use in technical diving. The TDI Advanced Gas Blender course will take you through this process in an easy-to-understand format.

Course Preresquisites
