Moalboal is on the western side of Cebu Island. It is a quiet town with no mass tourism, just great year-round diving. Most dive sites are under 25 minute boat rides away. The showcase in this region is the macro life. Sea creatures like leaf fish, gobies, blue-ringed octopus, tiny frogfish & harlequin ghost pipefish. A visit to Pescador Island with it's chimneys, crevices, drop-offs and beautiful coral gardens waiting to be explored.
The main event for most divers is the Sardine Run. It is a year round event in Moalboal and a natural phenomenon not to be missed. The sardines are not fed and are marine protected and Kasai Village work hard to ensure his spectacle remains ethical in its process. You are able to dive or snorkel the sardine run as being filter feeders the sardine are close the surface.
