SnorkelingThe SSI Snorkeling program may be your first step in becoming a freediver or even a scuba diver. Most people enjoy it that much, that they enroll in a complete beginner training program afterwards. Through the SSI Freediving Level 1 or SSI Open Water Diver program you can complete your training and get full credit for what you have already accomplished in your Snorkeling program, so you do not have to do things twice.

Try Scuba

The SSI Try Scuba or Try Scuba Diving program is your introduction to the underwater world. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in either a confined water or open water setting, without committing to a longer certification program. You will earn the SSI Try Scuba or SSI Try Scuba Diving recognition rating.

Open Water Diver

This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

A Scuba Skills Update provides you with the opportunity to review and practice necessary scuba skills that you learned in your original Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional. The Scuba Skills Update is often a required for continuing your diving training after a long period of time away from the sport. You will be issued an SSI Scuba Skills Update recognition cardYou will earn.

Wreck Diving

Many of the ocean's best dive sites have artificial reefs, or wrecks that have sunk through the ages. This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely scuba dive above and around these underwater treasures. You will earn the SSI Wreck Diving certification after completing this program.

Sidemount

Divers jumping into the water with no cylinder on their back can be found in images of vacationing divers, as well as in scientific journals.

As is the norm in wreck and cave diving, sidemount equipment configuration is now being discovered by more and more divers. The simple, pleasant and weightless dive without the burden of the diving equipment to weigh down on the back - who wouldn't want to experience this?

To make these kind of dives safely, it requires special training. Unfortunately, these dives are often carried out without the necessary preparation and knowledge, which often leads to a safety risk. Therefore, it is necessary to have the knowledge, skills and training to make Recreational Side Mount dives safely. You will learn everything about the background, history, benefits and equipment of sidemount diving. In practice, you will learn how to configure your equipment and manage it in the water, recognizing that buoyancy and movement brings you a new diving experience.

An SSI Recreational Sidemount course is made up of short academic sessions, with practice in the water to ensure comfort and safety with this new equipment configuration. With the proper training, you can enjoy recreational sidemount diving anytime.

Perfect Buoyancy

Do you want to increase your buoyancy control, minimize your breathing gas consumption, or move effortlessly above the ocean floor? The SSI Perfect Buoyancy program teaches you the skills and techniques needed to maximize your dive experience, increase your comfort in the water, and get the most from your equipment. You will earn earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification.

Advanced Adventurer

This program allows you to experience five different open water dives from five SSI Specialty programs without requiring you to complete the entire Specialty. If you are unsure of your next step, this is the perfect way to advance your dive skills and experience, and to identify which Specialty programs interest you. You will earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification after completing this program.

Dry Suit Diving

This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive while using a dry suit. You will learn the special requirements for dry suit diving, how to use your new equipment, the benefits of a dry suit, and how to deal with emergency situations that are unique to dry suit diving. You will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.

Many exciting dive sites are located in deeper water. Without proper training, this kind of diving puts you at risk. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 18 meters, and is a prerequisite for some advanced training. You will earn the SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification. after completing this program.

Advanced Open Water Diver

SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is the next recognition rating on the path to becoming an SSI Master Diver, and includes four SSI Specialty program Digital Kits. After completing the four SSI Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rating, along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.

Master Diver Bundle

The much sought-after SSI Master Diver is the final step in your recreational diving career. The SSI Master Diver Digital Kit Bundle is composed of four SSI Specialty program Digital Kits and the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Digital Kit. By completing the five specialty programs, and logging 50 open water dives, you will automatically earn the SSI Master Diver recognition rating, as well as the SSI Specialty program certifications.

Certification Prerequisites: Prerequisite for this program is the SSI Open Water Diver certification or its equivalent. Further prerequisites vary depending on the programs included.
